I’ve mentioned this a few times now, but my parents are planning on moving within the next couple of months (fingers crossed!). I’m so excited because the new place has a garden and I feel like I have ideas upon ideas on how to make it a really lovely space. From furniture to lighting, I’ve been checking it all out.

One of the main reasons I’m super excited about the possibility of my parents having some out door space is because now we have Baby C. Summers will be amazing, not only because of the yummy BBQs we can have but because Baby C can run around the garden playing games, making a mess and making some fabulous memories with his Grandparents.   There’s a bit of work that needs to happen in the garden, some we’ll do, some will be professionally done. There’s the odd tree that may need a bit of TLC from a professional surgeon. I need to ask somewhere like Lexington tree and garden care services to come and sort my tree issues out! I’ve tried convincing my dad that just wearing a Chainsaw Helmet doesn’t qualify him to take on big jobs like that! So in order to be fully prepared for summer, I’ve been looking at some of the things I’d love to have in my parents garden for Baby C over the summer. No time like the present to start a good wish list!

Growing up one of the things I always played with my dad was noughts and crosses. I’d love to watch him playing with the giant versions with Baby C. It would seriously warm my heart (and hopefully my skin while I lay in the sun watching them). I always remember having a basic slide when I was little and spent hours climbing and sliding, climbing and sliding. It’s a must have if you have a garden. The same as the sand pit. The swing is a bit of a luxury, but if there’s enough space once the trees and bushes have been cut. Well, why not? I might even substitute it for an adult swing! Don’t tell Baby C!

I know it’s technically not even my garden but we’ll be there so much that it may as well be. I can’t wait to have some fantastic family time and watch Baby C enjoy himself and hopefully even have a couple of little friends over as he gets older.
