The world is a big place, and getting to where you want to go can take considerable time, effort, and money. Often, there will be several different options available to you, and getting the right form of transport can make a huge difference to the comfort, convenience, and the speed of your journey.

Often, when you are making a big journey you may need to skip from one mode of transport to another. Switching from planes to trains, to buses, and taxis can often leave you on a tight itinerary. Connections may be missed when delays occur. Travelling can often become very stressful. Finding the mode of transport that suits your needs best and causes you the least amount of stress is ideal.

The environment is also a concern for many people when it comes to deciding on how to make the journey. Some public transport options are definitely better than others when it comes to your carbon footprint.

Flying In A Private Jet

It may seem like an impossible dream to fly somewhere in a private jet such as this embraer legacy 500. While you may associate private jets with the rich, famous, or powerful, but if you need to get somewhere that is quite far away and a little bit out of the way, you may find it easier to land in a local airfield closer to your final destination.

With lots more airfields around the country than you may have realised, chartering your own private jet may be more convenient than you ever imagined.

If you are travelling with several other people, taking a private jet together could be a good way to go. You’ll get the plane to yourselves. If the flight is part of a work trip, you will have a quiet space to work together while you head to your destination. When you factor in the costs of flying as a group, there may be some potential savings to your overall journey costs by chartering a flight. Hiring a private jet also gives you and those travelling with your peace of mind that the flight will be safe and secure. You can ask the ground crew and aircraft maintenance team what exactly they will be doing to ensure safety, and even get technical with the tools and equipment used. Many aircraft these days use aeroshell w100 plus oil, maybe you could surprise the professionals with your knowledge!

With less hassle involved in the check-in process and no need to stand and wait at the baggage carousel before you continue onwards, private jets offer convenience.

Commercial Flights

Commercial airlines will get you to where you need to be quickly. If you want to fly from the south of England to the North of Scotland, driving this would be an uncomfortably long trip. Even taking a train for this length of journey would take up a fair part of your day. But a commercial flight could get you there in an hour or two.

With flights taking you all over the world, commercial flights offer the chance to go where you want in a fairly short amount of time.

When it comes to the cost of your flights, prices can vary dramatically. Many airlines employ a technique where flight prices rise with subsequent visits to their website. The panic that the prices will continue to rise prompts many people to rush to buy their tickets without fully researching their options.  But if you want to make sure that you are getting the best prices then you should ensure that you use incognito or private browsing from your web browser. This will make sure that you are not storing any cookies on your computer when you search. That way, there will ample opportunity to check the prices of competitors before you commit to buy.

Flights can be inconvenient when they get delayed. Being stuck in an airport is no fun, especially since you often after arrive for your flight two hours before it is due to take off.

Train

Trains vary dramatically. Small local trains can be very basic, and often slow and uncomfortable, while national services will be faster and provide more comfort.

Taking the train can be quite an expensive option when you compare the distance that you are travelling against the price of the ticket.

Electric lines offer a more environmentally friendly option for getting to where you want to go. However, there are still many diesel trains on the tracks. Regardless of the type of train, it will still be a more eco-conscious journey than if you were to drive to the destination in your own car.

Coach

One of the cheapest travel options is probably to go by coach. If you are looking to go on a specific journey and are able to book ahead, you can get your coach ticket for next to nothing.

Coaches are completely at the mercy of the road, so if there are traffic jams, roadworks, or road closures, then this can easily delay your journey.

Coaches may not be the most comfortable mode of transport either, and when your journey is not the shortest in the world, it can be tough.

Driving

The joy of driving is that you have more control over the speed of the journey. There may be alternative routes that you could take to save time, and you set the pace. You can also go from door-to-door making sure that you get as close to your final destination as possible.

You can set the temperature, listen to your own music, and you have passenger seats for anyone else who is making the same journey as you.

Problems on the road could cause you delays though, so you are not completely free of delays. The speed of your journey may also be much slower than planes or trains too.

Fuel prices can fluctuate and driving may not always be a cost-effective way of getting about. If your car is well maintained, your tyres are fully inflated, and you drive at a reasonable speed, you will have greater fuel efficiency though.

One of the major drawbacks to driving is the environmental impact. If you are driving a petrol or diesel car for the full length of your journey you are contributing to carbon emissions. Opting to use public transport that is already going to your destination means that you are not adding to emissions.
