Easter is a great time of year for parents and their kids to get crafty together. Creating homemade decorations and baking some tasty treats are great ways to celebrate the arrival of spring and a lovely way to spend time together and establish some traditions. If you’re stuck on ideas for Easter crafting projects, you will find hundreds of tutorials across the internet that will help you get started. In the meantime, here are three ideas:
1. Easter Egg Flowers
For this project you will need:
- Patterned/coloured duck tape
- Dowel rods
- Scissors
- Plastic Easter eggs
- Cutting board
This project should take you around 15 minutes to complete. Start by wrapping the dowel rods in green duck tape for the stems. Then cut a strip of duck tape and lay it on your cutting board, sticky side up, then fold one third of the tape onto itself (lengthwise). Attach the bunched up tape to the outer rim of half of the plastic egg, then cover the bottom portion of the egg with more tape. Finally attach the dowel rods to the bottom of the egg.
2. Easter Chick Paper Plates
For this project you will need:
- Yellow paper plates
- Orange card
- Feathers
- Googly eyes
- Glue
This project is super easy and won’t take long at all. Simply grab a yellow paper plate and stick feathers to it to look like wings. Cut a triangle shape out of the orange card and stick it to the centre of the plate to look like a beak, and then add the googly eyes above it. You can also use the orange card to cut out little legs and stick them to the bottom of the plate.
3. Bunny Rabbit Masks
For this project you will need:
- Card
- Glue
- Cotton Balls
- Pipe cleaner
It doesn’t have to be Halloween to wear a mask! Draw and cut out a bunny mask template for your little ones and let them stick on the cotton balls and other materials.
