I’m not sure if it’s a trend or something that’s a little more meaningful but lot’s of my friends have really gauged interest in things like crystals and star signs lately. Thinks like how the moon is moving and all that stuff apparently really has an effect on our mood and how we feel. I’m pretty intrigued, to be honest, and I’ve got a couple of book recommendations ready to go. I’ve given this really intriguing article a read, all about how your star sign can dictate your style and home décor taste. It’s so interesting and has definitely given me food for thought.
I’m a Pisces. A water sign with a love of sea green, aqua and coral. Apparently. Well, they’re not far wrong. I LOVE coral nail polish and accessories. I mean who doesn’t? Based on the Fishpools post, I want a space to unwind and the bedroom or bathroom is my favourite room. They also reckon that something like a dreamy velvet bed is the answer to my wishes. Well, they’re not wrong! I can’t quite believe it myself!
At the moment we’re sharing our room with Marlo, so it’s cramped and disorganised. Having a cot in your bedroom takes up more space then you would imagine! I would love to have a little sanctuary to come and relax it with gorgeous fabrics (like velvet) and a real little beautiful place. I will make it happen. I just need time. Lot’s of it. So after having a little look around here are some of the bedroom designs from Fishpool that I can only dream of having at some point over the next couple of years!
This image encapsulates my dream bedroom. Mirrored furniture, lush fabrics. So pretty and so timeless. I mean I know it will take a lot of cleaning but it’ll be worth it. At the moment I feel like the babies stop us because they are just SO messy it’s incredible. But in time, this will be ours!
Can we take a moment to talk about hero chairs? The ones that sit in a room, mostly undisturbed, looking beautiful until they turn into a clothes horse?! I love this chair and you can get it in a range of fabrics to suit your decor. I feel like every bedroom, space allowing, needs a hero chair.
Last but not least, this is the dream bed that apparently matches my star sign. I mean come on, they’re not wrong. I’m aiming for this to look like my bed in the next couple of months!
