YOU MISSED A SPOT! Don’t Just Clean It #ClinellIt  3 Cleaning Tips for Busy Households. In collaboration with Clinell. All views are my own.

If you’re anything like me, you love a clean house but you hate cleaning it! My budget doesn’t quite stretch to a cleaner, although wouldn’t that be nice? Instead, I try to be smart when it comes to cleaning so that I don’t spend my days feeling like Cinderella. I feel like it’s more important now than ever before, to be on top of everything from hand washing, cleaning handles and surfaces as well as keeping things at easy reach when we’re out and about. So much changed in 2020 and keeping hands and surfaces clean is such a priority for me and my family. But how can you keep things as clean as possible? I’ve joined in with the don’t Just Clean It #ClinellIt challenge and using and sharing Clinell cleaning methodology I can make sure we don’t miss a spot!

Don’t Miss A Spot

One of the worst things is when you think you have done all the cleaning, sit down to relax and realise you have missed a spot. Lots of us are likely to be doing some deep cleaning over the next week or so in preparation for Christmas, so make sure if this is you that you don’t miss a spot!

If you asked most people (82% in fact) would tell you that they clean effective at home. However, a YouGov Survey revealed that only 9% of people use the best method known to us – the S-shaped wiping pattern. This handy infographic from Clinell helps show us the best way to clean surfaces and make sure that we don’t fall into the trap of missing a spot.

Their Universal Cleaning and Surface Disinfection Wipes come in packs of 40 and 100 and are known to be used in 9 out of 10 NHS hospitals throughout the UK. They are used to safeguard patients and keep everything as germ-free as possible-perhaps an ideal purchase for the Christmas festivities that will be happening soon.

Getting Everyone Involved

Everyone lives in the house, so everyone should be involved in keeping it clean and tidy. From a young age try to encourage children to put their toys away when they have finished with them – I know, this is far easier said than done. If you are having a day of cleaning, get the kids involved. Many young children love the feeling of being involved with mum or dad – they don’t even care that it’s just taking washing out of the machine. They love feeling grownup and helpful so definitely take advantage of this. Try and split household chores between everyone in the household, maybe you can pick a room each to clean? My little ones love to wipe the sides down and copy everything I do. So If I start using the Clinell cleaning methodology, so will they!

Be Organised

It is all well and good getting all this cleaning done, but how annoying is it when the house looks just as messy a few hours later? I’ve found that organisation and storage really helps with this. If you’re able to store children’s toys out of sight, it doesn’t matter than they’re chaotic because everything on the surface looks tidy and organised. Have a look at different storage options that suit you and your family set-up, you’ll soon be grateful that everything is much more organised. With less clutter around it is much easier to keep surfaces dust free and clean; just needing a quick wipe over (in a S shape of course) with a Clinell wipe –win, win!
