When you have a baby you’ll accumulate hundreds of things. Most only serve a purpose for a very short time (if at all) but occasionally, you’ll find something that is a little gem in the world of all things Baby. Something that is worth it’s weight in baby wipes and actually is far more useful than you ever imagined it would be. These Nuby Garden Fresh Fruitsicles moulds are one of them.

Review: Nuby Garden Fresh Fruitsicles - A Must Have Product

At first I thought, oh I can make Baby C some ice-lollies, which will be nice. Let me tell you, these have become a bit of a saving grace in our house right now. Let me explain.

In simple terms, Nuby Garden Fresh Fruitsicles are 4 x ice-lolly moulds with plastic handles and freezer tray. You feel each mould with a small amount of whatever liquid you like, with or without bits in and freeze. (Watermelon is great even for adults!) It’s so simple and easy. Something that takes minimum effort but makes you feel like the worlds best mum!

Review: Nuby Garden Fresh Fruitsicles - A Must Have Product

So, these are the reasons why this product is going down a storm in our house right now.

  1. Weaning

Baby C is well on his weaning way now and if we dare eat around him it’s like he has lost the baby lottery. He gets serious food envy! These ice-lollies are a great distraction and are made with whatever you decide to put in them. So he can have a healthy ice-lolly while we’re eating. It keeps us all happy. He loves watermelon, pea and even broccoli so far. He can also hold the plastic pretty well by himself and the plastic holder helps catch any melted bits – until he throws it across the room. Obviously.

  1. Teething

Yep, good old teething. The cold ice-lolly must feel great about those sore gums and if Baby C seems to be chewing away on a rattle getting irate, popping a home made ice-lolly in his hand works a treat.

  1. Refusing Milk

The past few days Baby C has decided that he’d rather not have milk on his menu anymore. I’m not sure what’s happened. It could be that his mouth is sore from teething, that he is enjoying his solid food too much or that he is just having a moment. Well of course as a new mum I freaked out and started thinking about ways I can make him have his milk without him knowing it. He is a 7.5 month old baby but he isn’t silly!

I worked out that each mould takes 1 oz. of milk. So I’ve been giving him 2 ice-lollies over the past couple of days to help fill his milk quote. He actually got a bit back on track today with his milk, but something as simply as the ice-lollies made such a difference.

  1. Something different

It’s nice to mix things up a bit and with this Nuby Garden Fresh Fruitsicles you can experiment with different flavours with minimal effort. It’s also a great way of keeping your little one occupied for a few minutes. As it’s basically ice, you know it’s just going to melt so no major hazards.

  1. Value for money

The Nuby Garden Fresh Fruitsicles are under £6, which I think is an absolute bargain!

Baby C really loves these little ice pops and we’ll be keeping them going until he decides they are not longer on the menu.
