We have a lovely garden. Coming from a small London flat that didn’t even have a cupboard let alone a garden, it’s pretty epic now having this space. We still want to make it even more amazing and I have a wish list as long as my arm of the things I’d like to put in there. Well, you know what they say. You have to talk these things into existence so here’s my garden wish list to turn my average green space into the garden of my dreams.
Hammock
That’s right, I want a Hammock. I understand I might now be on a white sandy beach with clear waters next to me drinking an exotic cocktail. But being in the chilly Nottingham air is enough for me! I’ll need a hammock stand too because I don’t think I have anything in the garden strong enough to keep it up (with me in it!). But I have the perfect little space in the corner where I can fully imagine being by myself chilling out, reading a book and enjoying some winter sun. Sounds a bit like heaven to be honest! I’d probably have to get a family size one because I know the boys will want to lay on it with me, but I think it would be a great addition to the garden!
Hot Tub
Who wouldn’t want a hot tub? The problem I’d have is just cleaning it all out. I hate high maintenance things, but I know I’d love a hot tub. I’d pop my tablet on the side, put on my fave reality tv and relax surrounded by warm bubbles. What a dream! Especially in the evenings. The only issue I’d have other than the cleaning is the insects. I’m not a fan of insects and I know they love water; I’d probably be chilling out with a frog by the end of the evening!
Vegetable Patch
I have to admit I’m not green fingers at all. I wish I was. I would love a. vegetable patch and next year I’m really going to work to make it happen. I just no that so much effort goes into making one carrot and I’m not sure I have that much time or dedication. But I’d love to be more sustainable and self-efficient, so I’m going to do some research and make it happen. Watch this space, tomatoes, I’m coming for you.
Epic Garden Furniture
Our decking is a bit dead now and I’d love to re-do the corner of the garden, add a canopy and some amazing all-round garden furniture and almost create an outdoor living room. Again, I’d need low maintenance things as I am super busy with family life but I know I could create an amazing outdoors space for the family. Just give me time and I’ll make it happen.
