A few weeks ago I did a blog post about how hard my hair is to brush (it’s here if you want to take a look). Especially when it’s wet. I have fine hair but a lot of it and it just manages to tangle itself in every direction possible, I don’t know how! Because of this the well-known Tangle Teezer has been my best friend for the past couple of years. But, as usual there is a new kid on the block and it’s just become my new BFF. The Wet Brush has entered the building.
The Wet Brush is made to beat those tangles in the friendliest way possible whether hair is wet or dry. I have to say it’s nice to actually have a handle to hold as I feel much more in control and that I have more strength in my strokes, I’m sure you know what I mean. The handle is rubber meaning no slippery accidents in the bathroom.
The bristles on this brush are far different to the Tangle Teezer. The Wet Brush bristles are really firm, this but super flexible. I feel like it really is brushing my hair down to the scalp rather than just the surface of my hair like the Tangle Teezer does. The bristles are longer so get right through the hair. Apparently this is based on the ‘intelliflex technology’. All I know is that it brushes really well.
I really road tested this brush when I went swimming over the weekend. The worst time to brush my hair is after being in and out of a pool where I wrap my hair in a towel until the last possible minute. I am left with a birds nest and it’s a scary sight. I flexed my muscles preparing myself for pain, but I didn’t get any. Using The Wet Brush really was quick and easy; brushing from the root meant I didn’t have to brush over the same spot again and again.
I was also impressed by how little hair was left on the brush, I guess because of the cushion and softer bristles it doesn’t pull as much and gets through the knots and tangles in a friendlier fashion.

Just to show you the size – it’s a full size brush but not too intrusive. Paddle brush is available.
I have to say it; The Wet Brush has officially become my brush of choice. But I know I’ll need a couple because I leave them everywhere! This is the classic style, if you have a lot of hair and prefer a larger paddle brush, they do them too!
If you fancy giving this little beauty a try for yourself, they are available to buy from Cult Beauty and is currently £11.99 which if you suffer from tangled hair, is well worth the price.
