Last week I went along to a cozy beauty blogger event held by Crabtree & Evelyn in their Kingston branch. I went along with my gorgeous partner in blogging crime Lucie and we had a great time! We were greeted by Emma the store manager who was lovely and friendly. She kept us fed and watered with endless prosecco and mini cupcakes so she has to get a favourable mention, plus she was running around trying to make sure everyone was happy. So a big thanks to Emma!
I have to say that Crabtree & Evelyn have been my go too for hand cream, but other than that I’ve always considered them to be slightly too mature for me. Lavender scents and linen cushions were what I had perceived of them. But let me tell you… TIMES HAVE CHANGED!
The products and fragrances completely surpassed my expectations. To name a favourite, the Caribbean Island wild flowers fragrance is amazing! It has notes of citrus fruits, jasmine and spider lily. A really fresh but mild fragrance.
I had a relaxing hand exfoliation using the Citron, Honey & Coriander hand recover scrub. Not only did it feel amazing but my skin looked fresher and healthier. Then Daisy gave me an amazing hand massage with the hand lotion. I have to say, if you ever go into the Kingston Crabtree & Evelyn make sure you see Daisy. She is lovely, does a fab massage but it so hilarious! At one point we actually tried to drag her out for dinner with us. A complete gem she was fantastic. (Thanks Daisy!) I actually ended up buying the 60 seconds fix for hands gift set with this fragrance because it was just lovely on my skin and after the scrub and massage I was totally sold.
Did you know Crabtree & Evelyn did nail polish? Well I didn’t and I am so intrigued. You’ll find it in their nail care section. I was given a bottle in my goody bag but I really want to try their Clementine colour. It’s a punchy orange and perfect for the summer, not bad for £6.00 either may I add!
Crabtree & Evelyn are also doing a great little initiative called ‘Handy tips handed down’. Share your secret beauty tips and you will get a voucher for £5.00 off your next purchase of £15.00 or more! You can do this online here or in your local store like Lucie and I did.
It was a lovely evening of trying new products, seeing the new side of Crabtree & Evelyn and of course, as always, meeting other lovely people. So go shimmy yourself over to your local branch and see luscious lotions and potions will surprise you! I did come away with some goodies that I bought with my voucher and I can’t wait to do a little review on them for you so watch this space!
