Theres been hints of sun and quite a bit of heat this week and my hair is already showing signs of feeling a little warn out by it. I have really random hair, it’s greasy at the top and dry at the ends. It’s in serious need of some TLC but before I go to the hairdressers and settle a £50.00 bill, I thought I’d do some research and maybe a little DIY to improve my locks in the heat.
I came across Allures who are an all round online pharmacy and they created this little infographic all about summer hair care which I think is pretty great. I think I need to get eating my carrots! I read their post a little more and found out why…
- Carrots provide your body with vitamin A which leaves your scalp feeling healthier and helps your hair to grow faster and prevent hair loss.
- Dark Leafy Greens have lots different vitamins and minerals. They provide your body with vitamins A and C as well as iron and calcium. On top of keeping your hair beautiful they also keep your skin soft and smooth!
- Oysters are a great source of zinc which is an important element when it comes to hair. Zinc regulates the production of androgens, a crucial element for the hair as, when lacking, dandruff start to appear and hair grows very slowly.
I’m not sure about the oysters… but the rest I’ll go with!
I have to say, these 7 hair care tips are basic things that we could all do. For me, it has to be drink more water. I do try but I need to make sure I have a bottle next to me on my desk and get through it. I always notice a difference when I drink more water. Not just my hair but my skin and even my energy. I just need to get on it.
