Yesterday evening my gorgeous best girly and I pulled ourselves out of our flu ridden beds and went along to the Evening Standard Readers Event at the brand new Benefit Cosmetics flag Ship Store located on the famous Carnaby Street in London
It was a great evening. Relaxed, fun and full of treats!
On arrival we were escorted to the lower level (yes, this Benefit store has 2 floors of amazingness!) and Liam a lovely Benebabe explained what would happened. He gave us our goody bags, some chocolates to keep us sweet and a lovely glass of pink bubbly. To secure our spot we paid £20.00 but that was returned as a gift voucher so we could spend it on anything we liked.
While we waited for our make up to be done we obviously had a little snoop around. The Blow out area and manicure area is so pretty. It’s all very dreamy and just what a beauty boutique should be. It’s convenient having all you need in one place. Hair, Nails, Make up – check! All the decoration is exactly as you would expect, girly glam, pretty pink with a little vintage charm thrown in.
I had already booked a brow arch for my much needs squirrel tales and was over the moon when I saw that in the goody bag was a voucher to get it done for free. The brow arch was amazing. Claire, the Benebabe did a great job. She was so friendly and I almost didn’t want to leave my beauty chair! She showed me how the perfect eyebrows are supposed to be and went ahead and created them.
I was so impressed with my make-up. The Benebabe that did it (Chantelle I think her name was!) was outstanding. Everything she applied she showed me how to use and how to mix things around with different products. She didn’t apply things unnecessarily just to ‘sell’ them to me. In fact I didn’t feel any pressure to buy anything… although I did!
I’ve never done the whole eyebrow make up thing for fear of looking like a cartoon character, but both Benebabes showed me exactly what I needed to do and I actually got a little obsessed with my eyebrows for about 5 minutes. Obviously the rest of the make-up was great as well.
I ended up buying the Hello Flawless foundation because it was the perfect colour match and did what it says on the box. I also bought some Creaseless Cream shadow in Birthday suit. (I love the names!) As the colour was majestic and felt lovely. Obviously I had to buy Brow Zings after I freaked about my new eyebrows.
The only thing I was disappointed with was my own fault; I forgot to buy Boi-ing! I was so impressed with it, it even combated the redness of my eyebrows and I can’t believe I forgot to buy it! Arghhh!
Told you they were gorgeous – Liam & Claire
So to conclude, the Carnaby Benefit is everything it’s expected to be plus more! It’s the first Benefit store in the world to offer all the beauty services and the staff are really lovely. The big thing for me isn’t that they made my make-up look great, but that they SHOWED me how to use it so I can (attempt) to do it at home with the same products.
Me and my gorgeous girly- I’m pretty sure you can tell which one is the before & after but just in-case you couldn’t I did label them!
A fab evening thank you @Benefit_Carnaby
