100% Natural, 100% Effective, 100% Affordable – that’s a lot to live up too, especially in the beauty world. But Beauty Kitchen seems to have it spot on. They are a friendly and a unique team that create quirky but luscious bath, body and beauty products. It’s original and fun but actually gives you a bloody amazing usable product at the end.Its £15.00 with free delivery, which is quite purse friendly considering you get 4 gorgeous lip balms at the end. I thought I’d give you a little run down of how fun and easy it was to make these lip balms and because the Beauty Kitchen are so awesome they are giving one of my lovely readers the chance to win a ‘Create Your Own Lip Balm’ tin of your own.

First up, all the contents come in this cute little tin, which basically looks like a tin of tomato soup in my opinion, Once the tab is open the contents are wrapped in red tissue paper and you’re ready to go. The whole process takes around 30 minutes which is just long enough to stop me getting bored. The contents consist of (and what you’re lip balms are made of) Beeswax, Cocoa Butter and Glitter Mica Powder. The set also includes a wooden stirrer, 4 tins and some wildflower seeds. I LOVE this thought, you don’t use them in the balm, but you plant them as it helps to increase the Bee population as we need them for the beeswax. All you need to add is some olive oil.
I had to melt the beeswax and cocoa butter, along with ml of olive oil in a pan on a low heat. This took about 10 minutes as I did it really slowly! I have to say I LOVE the smell that drifted around the kitchen as they melted together. I then stirred in the Mica powder which adds a light opalescent glitter to the liquid. You can leave this out if you wanted but it adds to the fun. It is a little bit messy but not much.
Once it was melted I poured the mixture into the tins as quickly and as neatly as I could. The mixture was like candle wax so it went thick an solid really wuickly. If you’re not fast enough you can just pop it on the pan fr a second to warm it up again. while the tins of balm were cooling in the fridge I added the stickers feeling rather pleased with myself.
The overall product is fantastic. The only problem is that I now have none left. They have literally been stolen by my mum, sister and work friends. The texture is gorgeous and it’s 100% natural so is super amazing for the lips. A great job Beauty Kitchen. I’m going to make my gift wish list now!
