Sweating in winter might not be something that you think about when you first start to consider the cold weather but actually, if you’re not careful it could e a problem you have to deal with. When the colder weather is here, we tend to want to wrap up warm and wear lots of layers.

Dressing for Winter

Wearing lots of layers once the cold weather is upon is definitely a great idea and you’ll certainly enjoy the extra warmth when you first come to leave the house. However, once you start to go about your day and ticking off tasks you could easily start to get too warm – and that is when you start to sweat.

The problem with that is that, unlike summer, taking off layers is tricky – because you’ll just start to feel cold once you do. However, no one wants to spend their day looking sweaty – which is where looking to purchase shirts that don’t show sweat could be a good idea.

Avoiding Sweat

Feeling sweaty is something that no one enjoys, and there is a world of pills, potions, and treatments available that are designed to help you avoid it. What’s often overlooked, though, is how sweating—especially when it’s inconsistent with your environment—might signal something more. In some cases, it’s worth taking a closer look at the underlying causes of unusual sweat patterns to better understand what your body might be trying to tell you.

That said, many people don’t realise that sweat resistant shirts are a thing and that they work amazingly. These materials are designed with the specific requirement that they not only ensure that you sweat as little as possible, but that if you do sweat the t shirt doesn’t show any marks. A company called Social Citizen are one that I have come across recently and with their size range up to 2Xl they have a range of plain colour t-shirts that are designed to not show sweat marks – meaning they’re great for layering up when the weather is cold.

Surviving the Cold Weather

If you’re anything like me, summer is the season that you really thrive but that doesn’t mean winter doesn’t have some plus points too; can anyone say Pumpkin Spice Latte?  That said, whatever approach you take to winter one thing you need to do is make sure that you wrap up warm, eat lots of nice hot food and do what you can to keep your house warm too. Blankets on the sofa, hot chocolate and keeping the doors shut whilst you have the heating on are definitely the order of the day for this time of year!
