Last month I went to a lovely beauty bloggers event arranged by Ipulse . The event was about the future of ‘intelligent’ beauty and how they are really leading the crowd. It was clear that they understand how beauty bloggers impact the beauty world now and they want to work with bloggers to get honest feedback and really invest in making their products fulfil our needs as consumers and beauty lovers. (I was also introduced to SensatioNail at this even and my review on how amazing they are is here)

If you don’t know already Ipulse uses IPL (intense pulsed light) to help us permanently reduce hair. It’s not a secret, females don’t tend to like hair growth anywhere other than our heads! It’s frustrating, time consuming and we just don’t want to see it! Don’t get me wrong, it’s everyone’s personal preference and not everyone prefers a smooth underarm. But I do for sure.
Anyway, Ipulse are pretty amazing. From hosting a lovely well organised event at the Mayfair hotel supplying us with bubbly and nibbles, to really being open and honest in all questions that were asked to them during the presentations. (Including me asking if it hurts! They assured me that the system is made to be as pain free as possible, I might feel a little flick like movement but I can handle that!) The event was brilliant. So good that I did a little question & answer session at the hotel which you can see below!
The system being sold exclusively at Boots is the Smooth Skin Extra by Ipulse. The promise (I’d call it a promise) is that you’ll have permanent hair reduction after just 4 treatments. That’s a bold statement. Hair removal is a big business so if they can genuinely provide that then you have to admit, it’s pretty amazing.
The future of home use light based therapy is only just starting and based on the information Ipulse shared with us, the future is bright. (Excuse the pun)
So, Ipulse have a 12 week challenge and as they kindly sent me the SmoothSkin extra to trial I am going to take them up on their 12 week challenge and see how the permanent hair reduction system works for myself. They have a huge support network on their website and facebook but the set is really straight forward. Even for a newbie to hair removal at home like me.
It’s a nice little unit, about the size of a house phone and at the beauty bloggers event I had a tutorial. So, watch this space for a review and update in around 12 weeks time!
