When you’re pregnant or have a new baby, it can feel like your overwhelmed with advice and tips from friends and family. But they all seem to contradict themselves and it can be a little overwhelming! If only there was a guide to parenting that was accurate, honest and by your side at all times. Well, the bad news is that every pregnancy, parent and child is different. So there’s no one size fits all approach but the GOOD news is that there IS a guide you can have by your side at all times. It’s called the Bounty App and I’ve used it ever since I was pregnant with Cameo. Bounty as a support network has been going for over 60 years but they realised that times had changed a couple of years ago and introduced the app. I am SO pleased that they did!
The Bounty App is a modern way of getting that support you need when your pregnant or a recent mum. It’s FREE (always a good thing) and can be downloaded at any time. It’s basically an app full of useful information on all things pregnancy and babies. It’s personal to you because you can put in your due date or the date your little one was born and it follows your parenting journey with you. There is nothing more convenient than a mobile phone app. It doesn’t take up any space, doesn’t require any effort and you can even have a browse whilst you’re having a wee. (For expecting mums, you’ll soon understand why having two minutes in the bathroom is a very special thing, even with a 2-year-old banging on the door shouting MUMMY I NEED YOUUUUUUU)
It’s full of helpful reminders that I love. Especially as a busy working mum. It might sound terrible, but when I go to the doctors or get asked how old Marlo is, sometimes I forget! I know he might be almost 8 months but I can’t remember the exact weeks or days as I did with Cameo. So when I pull up the Bounty App it says it right there. At the time of writing, he is 8 months and 23 days!
There’s also a tonne of helpful articles that are super quick to read through. There’s nothing too long or confusing which feels like you’re getting a really quick helpful answer. I’ve found it really helpful with weaning Marlo. He has been a lot more difficult than Cameo was and I’ve almost forgotten how to wean. So when I go on the Bounty App today, one of the recent articles is about weaning. Because Bounty is clever and knows what stage you’re probably at with your little one. You can go back and read any articles you might have missed or you can just have a browse through all the categories. From weaning to baby names there is an article for you.
One of the other major perks of the Bounty App are the freebies! That’s right! (I mean who doesn’t love a freebie?) If you show your Bounty app in your local Boots, ASDA or Tesco (I got mine from customer services) then you’ll get a free Mum-To-Be pack. This was really exciting when I was expecting my little ones. It feels like a little present! But it’s also incredibly handy. You’ll also find lot’s of handy offers and discount codes on the app so always have a little scroll before making a baby related purchase.
If you’re a new mum, a mum to be, a new dad or even a grandparent wanting to update your knowledge of all things baby – you can download the Bounty App right here – and it’s available for both Apple and Android.
* This is a paid collaboration with Bounty – all opinions are my own and I’ve used the App for the last 2 years.
