Plus London 2013 – Day Two – Community Day

Sunday – Community Day After a fabulous day one, there was no doubt that I was heading to day two. Even with a deadline to pick my boyfriend up at the train station I was going to fit in as much as possible. The community day was more about socialising, have time to mingle, chat and learn new things. It wasn’t as busy as day one but still packed a punch. This started with me and Emma heading straight to The Vintage Cake Company where we purchased a round of awesome carrot cake, a delicious sausage roll and a hearty hot…

Plus London 2013 – Day One – Brand Day Event

DAY ONE – BRAND DAY Where do I start!? It was a fun, enlightening and just uplifting weekend. I and my gorgeous friend Emma (who travelled to London especially) had a girlie weekend while travelling to and from the trendy hub that is Hoxton in Shoreditch. Let’s break it down.  Plus London 2013 was a weekend for the plus size community to engage, create and learn. #OMCZ 19 – Can Big Girls Wear Horizontal Stripes?

Time for the fab bloggers challenge that is #OMCZ also known as Outside My Comfort Zone. This is numero 19 and time is abolutely flying. It’s November already and Christmas is literally around the corner. EEEEK! So this theme was chosen by the gorgeous Beka from Bekasstuffystuff and is horizontal stripes! Based on the theory that stripes can have a magnifying effect and make the wearer look bigger. Well to be honest, I quite like stripes and I;ve heard these stories time and time again, I;ve also heard contradictions to these stories so whatever! I realised I only have TWO stripey items…

#NBNWorkshop – Next Blogger Workshop Fun!

A week ago today was the pretty amazing Next Blogger Network Event. (#NBNworkshop for you twitter fans!). I really didn’t know what to expect. The fact it was a workshop was intriguing and it did NOT let me down. First of all, as a curvy girl, Next generally is a great brand for me. They go up to a size 22 in the standard range and up to a size 26 in the plus fit range. I love their simple classic designs and they can be a bit of a gem when it comes to work wear but they also…

Style It Saturday – 50’s pin up!

Hi Everyone! Its Style It Saturday time, Hooray! I am a bit late on this one as I went to Plus London 3 today, an event for curvy fashion. But it did help with this Saturdays theme so it was worth the wait. Todays theme was chosen by the gorgeous Hannah at The Hanna Lucy Diaries and she gave us this… ”50’s pin up! So get your full skirts out and rock and roll baby!” I was originally a little perplexed with this one and thought I might possibly have to pull out but then this happened… At Plus London…
