There’s so much home decor inspiration around now that it’s hard to decide what you do and don’t want in your home. From Pinterest to Instagram, home envy is becoming a real thing and I have so many things on my wish list I’m starting to think I need to just move everything out of our home and start again. (If only!) One of the things that has been on my wish list for a long time is a Vegas Light Box. It’s reminiscent of the lights in Vegas (hence the name) and usually contains letters or words of some sort. I originally was looking for an arrow or star, something along those lines. But then I found these wonderful letter Vegas light boxesVegas light boxes from Dandelion Interiors and fell in love!
The Vegas box lights are marquee antiqued black wooden boxes with light bulbs attached. I chose ‘H & C’ (H for me and C for Mr. & Baby C of course) and they have a real hand made vibe about them. Each one requires 2 AA batteries and has a switch on the side. The ‘H’ and the ‘&’ are free standing but the ‘C’ needs a bit of balancing. I rest it again the other letters and it’s fine. They are actually made to be hung on the wall but for some reason nothing even stays up on our walls (vibrations from the trains nearby we think) and I wouldn’t want to risk these falling an breaking because I love them.
It might be hard to see in the picture but these are pretty big letters. 40 x 33.5 x 6cm. So just over a foot. I think they make such an impact and a great alternative to a lamp or sidelight. They are a talking point, wall feature but have a practical use too. That’s the best kind of home décor you can get! The box lights are £28.00 each, which for the size and how well made they are, is pretty reasonable. For now these are on my bedroom window seal but I cant wait to move so they can go up on the wall and I’ll live my very own Vegas dream. You need to check out Dandelion Interiors, they don’t have any social media but have some gorgeous pieces for the home, I’ll definitely be having a browse around there again.
