Although it’s not 100% confirmed yet, there’s a strong possibility that my parents will be moving house in a couple of months. While I hate change (especially while I’m getting used to having a baby) the one major thing I’m really excited about is that their new place has a garden! A GARDEN! I’m so happy! Not only can I have my BBQ dreams come true, but also as Baby C gets older he can have somewhere to play when my mum looks after him. It’s lovely to have a bit of outdoor space, its rare in London, so I’ve already decided I’m going to help my parents turn it into a lovely little outdoor space. I’ve already been throwing ideas around and this is my little garden wish sit.
The garden will no doubt need a little work. I’d love to have some garden paving down for the BBQ and seating, as well as a garden area. My mum totally agrees too. We love the colour of this Avant-Garde Paving and secretly, it will look great in blog pictures! Then there are garden lanterns. We’ll love little family get togethers in the evening, sitting in the garden, so some dim lighting will help set the scene. The same with the garden candles, a way to add a lovely atmosphere to dinner in the garden. My mum can’t wait to get stuck in to growing her own vegetables, and Baby C will be able to help her, as he gets older too. These pretty gardening gloves are so lovely I’m not sure she’d want to get them muddy but at least she wouldn’t feel silly wearing them!
Finally, how lovely would it be to go to your own garden and pick some apples for a home made pie? Fairy tale? Well, I’d love my parents to plant a fruit tree so in a couple of years we can go and help ourselves. My fiancés grandparents have one and it’s lovely to just pick up a few bits of fruit, give them a wash and your snack is ready! I feel like we need more of this in London. That’s why I’m so excited about my parents getting some of their own out door space. I have SO many ideas. Someone might need to rail me in!
Do our have a garden? How did you decorate yours?
