Is it just me or is life super hectic? I thought being on maternity would slow things down a little. I was so wrong… almost 180 degrees wrong. When I’m at work, it’s in a 9-5 job, which means everything other than the supermarket is basically shut by the time I get to them. Including the doctors. Every time I call for an appointment I get ‘we have no appointments for 3 million weeks, you’ll have to come in and first come first served’. Not what you want to hear when you have to explain to your boss every time you need to get your contraception or talk about you’re never ending hay fever, IBS or whatever!
So what’s the answer?
Well, treatment for medical conditions online isn’t as scary as it sounds and can actually be really quick, easy and safe. Use an online pharmacy that’s registered, regulated and supplies their full contact details.
I’m not talking about Google searching your symptoms. We all do it and then freak out that we’re actually an alien. I’m talking about a real online pharmacy where you have a private consultation prior to them prescribing you any medication. It’s done on a form basis and you can supply any extra information to support your consultation.
You do have to pay for the medication rather than it being free, but there is definitely the perks that outweigh that. Especially if you’re in a pickle about timings and getting to the doctor. There is a chance they will refuse if they think the medication isn’t right or if they have any concerns, which is actually a really good thing.
Have a read of this post about how to spot a genuine online pharmacy because there are rogue traders out there and check that the pharmacy is regulated via the general pharmaceutical council. Then you’re good to go. It’s something I’ve done in the past when I’ve needed basic medication but just couldn’t get a doctors appointment and it’s always worth thinking about if you’re like is just a bit to hectic. Thank goodness for the Internet!
