There are certain times in life when you don’t want to look fashionable, you want to look classy. Classy isn’t the same as fashionable. There are plenty of celebs who’s personal style is seen as the peak of fashion sense, but no one in their right mind would describe it as classy. It’s important to look classy when you are attending an informal event. For instance, as a blogger, there are plenty of events that I attend throughout the year where it’s crucial that I catch the attention of the right individuals. With a great look and style, you can make sure investors take an interest in who you are and what you can offer. So, what are the best ways to make sure that you look classy when you need to?
Less Is More
Nope, I’m not talking about clothing but rather your style in general. Makeup is a big concern here. You need to make sure that you are not going out looking like a clown. Instead, if you do use lots of makeup make sure it looks natural. Ideally, people shouldn’t even be able to tell that you’re wearing it at all. There are plenty of makeup brands that look perfectly natural. Try to use shades that blend in with your complexion rather than standing out or accentuating features. It’s not just makeup either.
You also want to consider how much jewelry you’re wearing. A minimalistic style is key to looking classy. You shouldn’t have too many bracelets covering your wrists, and any jewelry that you do wear shouldn’t be overbearing. One possibility would be to buy pearl jewellery. This type of jewellery looks absolutely stunning but doesn’t drawn attention to itself.
Dress To Your Body Shape
One of the worst ways to make yourself look unbecoming would be to dress in a way that makes you feel comfortable. For instance, if you feel self conscious about your chest, you might instead want to wear something that brings attention to your long legs. You may also want to think about drawing attention away from areas of yourself that you don’t want to stand out. For instance, by dressing heavy on top, you can move eyes away from your bottom half. Remember, though, it doesn’t matter how you dress as long as you have the confidence to pull it off. If you think you look incredible walking through a crowded room, onlookers will feel the same way.
Don’t Flaunt It
If you’ve got it flaunt it, might be a cool phrase to live by but when you’re trying to look classy, it’s best to fit in with the crowds. Classy people don’t enter the party like they are about to walk down a catwalk. Instead, they glide gracefully with a presence that captures the room without creating a fuss. For instance, when you achieve a classy style your clothes won’t be flying around, and your hair will stay in the same place.
We hope this helps you look stunning at your next business event or formal party.
